Organization SMTP
Give one organization its own email server, so its emails are sent from its own domain. If it has none configured, the Global SMTP is used.
Where to find it
Admin sidebar → Organization → Organization → open the organization → tab Email (SMTP) (/admin/organizations/[id]/smtp).
Organization admins can also reach an SMTP Config page from inside their own organization.
Steps
- Open the Email (SMTP) tab. The form is the same as the global one.
- Fill in SMTP Host, Port, Secure Connection (SSL/TLS), Username, Password, From Name and From Email.
- Send a test email to yourself and confirm Test email sent successfully!
- Save. A message confirms SMTP configuration saved successfully.
Tips
- Use a sender address on the customer's own domain and set up SPF/DKIM with their provider to avoid spam folders.
- To go back to the system default, ask a developer: this page documents saving a configuration, not removing one (not verified).
- Passwords are stored encrypted.
